–The wizard is a human being, with his strengths and weaknesses, but with full consciousness of what he is and what he wants to be.
–The wizard is not a “warrior of the light”. He takes no side in battles, for what he seeks is balance and knowledge.
–The wizard is a detective of the occult: he investigates things that are difficult to sight, hidden in the maze of the existence.
–The wizard moves into the darkness, looking for the little lights in it to show him the right path.
–The wizard lives in the real world, but knows that what we observe is just a little part of it.
–The wizard explores the inner and the outer plane, looking for the connections between them.
–The wizard gives a shape to the dark matter, and by doing so he makes visible the invisible.
–The wizard does nothing but what happens every second in the Universe: he converts energy into matter.
–The wizard always follows the rules of the Universe, for he knows that no act of magic is possible without being in perfect harmony with it.
-The wizard is aware that the Universe is not anthropocentric. Human beings are just part of it, and it is part of us.
–The wizard has a deep self-knowledge.
–The wizard has a profound understanding of Nature, intended as the whole of the natural things that exist on Earth.
-The wizard knows that human beings are part of the natural world, despite of their constant attempt to live outside of it.
–Because of the above, the wizard is intrinsically against progress. He is not interested in getting on a train that is moving faster and faster toward a precipice; instead of it, he constantly look for a life balanced with the environment in which he lives.
-The wizard knows the exterior world as well as his interior world. He knows that they are both deeply connected, and he constantly listen to them. Sometimes he receives messages from the outside, sometimes from his body. Whatever is the case, he makes sure his consciousness takes note of what they have to say, and he is open to change his lifestyle if this is the suggestion received.
-The wizard has a strong will. He has fears and uncertainties like every human being, but he is not scared to make a step forward when it’s needed.
-The will is the most powerful tool of a wizard. The true and only way to make things happen is the use of the will. Not by chance, magic has been defined by most as “the art of causing change in conformity with will”. No magic wands, prayers or rituals are really necessary: all of them, are just instruments used to reinforce the will.
-The wizard only performs magic by following his true will: he is aware that there is an enormous difference between what we believe we want and what we really want, in the bottom of our heart.
-The wizard can be a mystic, but not all the mystics are wizards. The difference between them is the action, which is absent in the mystic, and present in the magician.
–In the same way, a wizard can be a religious man, a philosopher, a physicist, even a lonely shepherd. A wizard can be what he wants to be, as long as he follows is true will.
-A wizard doesn’t follow a written moral code, nor the moral code of the society in which he lives. He has his own “board of values” and he strictly adheres to it. This board of values comes from his insight and it is coherent with what the wizard is and what he wants.
-At the same time the wizard is not a fool, and knows that his liberty finishes when the other person’s liberty starts. He is aware that, in the real plan, there are boundaries: the infinite liberty of his spirit must take into consideration the need of living a balanced and fair relation with other living beings. Balance always comes first.
Because of all the above, wizards are free people. They are free to know, free to investigate, free to act, free to love.
“Free your mind. You are a wizard. Free and balanced, strong, calm, and pure—just do it. Take action, and bring the wind where you want it to be.”
